Aftercare Instructions

  • Keep second-skin bandage on for at least one night

  • Recommended to leave bandage on for for 3 to 5 days

  • Tattoo will most likely bleed under bandage

  • “Weep” (plasma & ink) may form under the bandage, that is normal

  • Can shower and work out with bandage on but if it is irritated, remove after 24 hours

Week 1

  • After 3 to 5 days, carefully remove bandage with clean washed hands (easiest to remove in the shower or under warm water)

  • Gently wash tattoo with fragrance free antibacterial soap and warm water

  • Pat dry - DO NOT RUB!

  • Apply a thin amount of ointment throughout the day for the next 3 days
    or until it is fully healed

    • (Hustle Butter, Neosporin, A&D, Lubriderm with Aloe, Vaseline, Ink Eeze)

Removing Bandage & Cleaning

  • Avoid direct sun exposure, hot tubs, pools, & saunas for at least 2 weeks

  • Wash daily like stated above

  • Apply ointment or non-scented lotion as needed to moisturize and to soothe itching and scabbing

  • Tattoo may become dry and form scabs - DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH

Daily Tattoo Care

Infections

Unlikely if properly cared for but in the case:

  • Stop use of current ointment switch to unscented lotion

  • Keep area dry as possible

  • If infected area worsens, please consult a doctor or dermatologist
